Data governance with generative AI on Spain's largest job platform

As an independent consultant, Galde's founder took part in InfoJobs' initiative to transform its data governance and the adoption of artificial intelligence at Spain's leading job board. The approach was different: using generative AI not only as a technical tool, but as a lever for adoption and knowledge transfer.

  • Generative AI
  • NLP
  • Knowledge Management
  • Digital Transformation

The project

InfoJobs, part of the Adevinta group, launched an initiative to scale its data maturity: structuring governance practices, improving knowledge management and bringing generative AI into the teams' daily work, without disrupting operations or creating resistance to change.

The contributions

Data governance practices

Defining and structuring governance practices, including identifying and organising processes, information domains and documentation criteria for a more consistent management of knowledge.

Adoption of artificial intelligence

Designing approaches that use generative AI as an assistant for documentation, knowledge organisation and team productivity.

Standardisation and knowledge transfer

Creating materials, structures and ways of working that make knowledge transfer easier and align technical and business teams.

Change management

Taking part in initiatives to improve the adoption of new methodologies, processes and tools for data management and digital transformation.

Areas of expertise

Data governance, generative AI, natural language processing (NLP), knowledge management and digital transformation.

Results delivered

  • Better organised and more accessible knowledge.
  • Support for standardised ways of working.
  • Less manual effort in documentation and information management.
  • A stronger, more collaborative data culture.
  • Easier adoption of AI-based tools and processes.

Governance, ethics and transparency

The collaboration followed principles of confidentiality, responsible use of artificial intelligence, transparency and continuous improvement, human oversight and good data governance practices, from an external role specialised in digital transformation and data management.

Why this approach works where others fail

The main reason governance initiatives fail is not technical: it is organisational resistance. That is why the approach used AI to remove friction from knowledge work, never to replace human judgement.

Generative AI is not a substitute for data expertise. It is the layer that makes that expertise transfer faster, further and with less friction.

Recognition: Malt's AI Transformation Award

Third place among the 34 finalist projects, out of 161 submissions.

Exceptional in every respect. The AI-accelerated data governance transformation is technically rigorous […] and culturally sensitive, with emotional intelligence in change management.
